Mark,
I watched some videos on YouTube from the Calgary Homecoming concert. In this short time, you have really found your way of flowing with the group. And, when you started singing your solo on It is Finished, well, I really don't know what words to say for what I felt. Your voice has such a special tone and strength and your expression lifts me up and causes me to want to go on for Christ.
Blessings to you,
Roxanne Adrian

Mark,
I have been following your career with interest and continue to remember a weekend about 26 or 27 years ago. You were at TriState Youth for Christ in Evansville, IN. My husband and I had a little red-headed son, and possibly a baby at that time, and you stayed at our house. I still remember the bat you pulled out of your pocket for the boys. What a good memory to have!

The oldest of those kids has gone on to be with Christ as of two years ago the day before Mother's Day.

Thank you for staying true to your ministry and influencing many young kids for Christ.
God bless you,
Teresa Diekmann

Hello Mark,
I have recently joined your reMarks list and so thank God for you. I am keen to pray for you regularly as you have blessed me over and over, lifting me up in worship, bringing so much laughter when I need it (it truly is like a medicine) and encouraging me by sharing the depth of your love for God. God doesn't make mistakes when He makes us, does He!

Thanks for posting your tour schedule. I can use this to pray more effectively.
Bless you so much. You have your Father's heart.

Dear Mark,
My wife and I watched your Mark Lowry Goes to Hollywood DVD and we both like this one of you. We also have The Last Word on DVD and like it, as well. But it's your stories of 'I Survived a Tornado' and 'Recovering Fundamentalist' that stand out for us on the Hollywood video. From The Last Word, it's the song I Know, I Know.

I'm pleased you've rejoined the Gaither Vocal Band. I've seen Bill Gaither be such an example of Christianity. Please tell Bill that Pam and I really enjoy his and Gloria's ministry.

I just read about your MS diagnosis. With this, Pam and I also want you to be in prayer with us regarding her mother who's dying of cancer. Our prayers are more for the Lord being her comfort than for total healing. I know He can totally heal her but she says, "I've lived my life and it's been a good life. Just let me go." As we cope with this, we've come to see how much bigger God is than us and how much He loves us, even when our lives have seasons of pain. Just today, when we went to our church to pray, I later realized just how true this is, and I hope this is an encouragement to you as well:

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord.
"And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."
- Isaiah 55:8, 9 NLT

He's all we have to lean on at this time. He's our assurance of eternal life. In the words of Enya from her song May It Be: "A promise lives within you now."
In Christ,

Dear Mark,
We have tickets to your concert in Brighton, TN. We are so excited we can hardly stand it!

I have read about and heard about your diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I feel like God has laid it upon my heart to share with you a bit of encouragement. I, too, have MS. I was diagnosed in October 1990. I remember being scared, panicked, depressed and just about any other emotions that could fall into that category. I remember the doctors, therapists, etc., telling me what to expect. Most people would have probably just fallen apart but I didn't. From the very beginning I said, "Well, I may have MS but it does not have me!"

I am a Paramedic, which I am sure you know can be a very physically demanding job. However, I continue to work as a Paramedic even now. My neurologist and his team say they just don't understand. I do! The answer is: God!

I continue to play in my church orchestra. I play the bassoon, which is probably one of the most unappreciated musical instruments out there! LOL

I just had an MRI on March 3, 2009. I have no active plaques. I do have a few 'old scars'. Hey, I can live with that! Think about the scars Jesus has for what He did for us! My scars are 'invisible' from the outside!

Let me encourage you to not let MS rule your world. Stay positive! Listen to the Lord! Listen to your doctors but make informed decisions.
Created to worship,
Robin Brainard

Dear Mark,
Just wanted to drop you a note to say hello. Your music (and comedy) always inspire me... Thanks for what you do. It is making a huge eternal difference in many lives. Certainly being on the road takes a toll but you are appreciated!
Keep up the great work.
Dale

Dear Mark,
I hope that I can write this letter somewhat intelligently. I am six weeks post-op from a brain tumor removal and awaiting treatment for another tumor soon.

I first learned of your 'wonderful antics' and ministry when two of my children came home from a youth group trip wearing 'Mark Lowry for President' T-shirts. I watched you on the Gaither shows and you have always blessed this family.

During this 'healing process', I saw you perform on the Gaither Vocal Band Reunion show, ordered the set plus your Mark Lowry Goes to Hollywood DVD. I am thankful because this has been a tough week for me and I have been uplifted through your ministry. My daughter who is planning on going on her first mission trip has been blessed also!

Through your work, I have heard, "Stop praying for the miracle and be one!" I am starting to feel a sense of direction and a reason for this illness. I truly believe God has a ministry for me, if it is only encouraging others who are fighting brain tumors.

There are so many forums out there to help patients afflicted with brain tumors but I haven't found any Christian ones. In fact, I have found many that don't even allow you to post anything pertaining to Christian faith, miracles or request prayer. I am a computer tech and web designer by trade. Perhaps I can make this happen. Please pray for me to hear God's guidance in this.
I am praying daily for you.

Mark,
You have one of the greatest voices to ever touch my heart! I just love tuning in to YouTube to watch and listen as you weave your spell over us all. You are fabulous!

I play and replay Mary, Do You Know? as it's one of my all-time favorite songs ever. I'm hoping you have the time to appreciate a fellow entertainer who has done this song.

You have inspired so many others with that song alone! Thank you for sharing it, singing it and just being here for us to appreciate!
God bless you, Mark.

Dear Mark,
I just want to thank you. I was at your concert in Jamestown, NY, in October 2008. It was amazing! On the way home after the concert, I realized I had not really laughed in ten years. You know the type of laugh that you feel deep down in your soul.

My uncle passed away a year after being diagnosed with a blood disorder that had taken both his father and his older brother. Shortly after my uncle died, my father was diagnosed with the very same blood disorder. He went to be with the Lord in 2007.

Ever since your concert, I find myself enjoying life more. In fact, I feel like a teenager again, full of mischief. My pastor's birthday was a little over a week after your concert. He got the 'Mark Lowry effect'. I got a couple of other people from church to help me blow up over 400 balloons and put them in the pastor's office. The balloons were knee deep. Everyone enjoyed it!

I'm even excited to see it snow. As you can imagine living near Lake Erie, we get quite a bit of snow.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know what a blessing you have been to me. I can hardly wait to see you in concert again.
May God bless you in your ministry.
Lisa

Dear Mark,
I truly think you are nuts! And how great that you use your 'wacky' in such a great way. If I laugh too much, I often start coughing to the point where I can barely breathe. You may be the cause of my death someday. It would be a great way to go out...

I get sidetracked on the computer - especially on YouTube. Was listening to (must have been a Homecoming) The Love of God. Ruth Bell Graham was next to you in a prayerful 'posture'. You put your arm around her and she smiled. That must have been a wonderful memory for you - especially now that she's moved on.

You're a good guy. Hold on to who you are and certainly to whose you are.
Love you!

Mark,
First, I want to say how happy we are that you are rejoining the Gaither Vocal Band! I hope you can come and visit us in South Africa very soon! You have more fans here than you think!

I want to share with you something amazing that happened to our family. My uncle lives in Brazil and sent me an e-mail the other day. He was so excited. They go to a good church there and he told me about their Sunday morning service. He said that someone sang Mary, Did You Know? and it touched his soul and changed his life. How amazing is it, that a man from South Africa is touched when hearing a song in Brazil that was written by a man in North America! Only God can work in such a wonderful way!

Thank you, Mark, for allowing the Lord to use you, so that the message of Jesus can be spread all around the world in such a powerful way. You are a role model to young adults like me who, sometimes, find it hard to just let go and let the Lord take over.

I just listened to your audio rambling about rejoining the Gaither Vocal Band. You are right: If we would only allow God to use us, He would do it, no matter where we are or what we are doing!

So, thank you for letting the Lord work through you and for being a blessing and an inspiration to me and people all around the world! We pray for you and know the Lord will use you in many more beautiful and miraculous ways in the days and years to come!
Lots of love, blessings and hugs from a rainy Gauteng province!

Dear Mark,
As I write this, I have only been a Christian for roughly three weeks. I am sad to say that, for 20 years, I was condemned to Hell as a believer and follower of the Wicca beliefs. On January 14th of this year, I was in the Garden City Rescue Mission attending the required nightly chapel service. It started out the same as always, with me sitting there just hoping that it would move quickly and end so that I could get back to reading or talking to the other guys until lights out.

Well, that night it turned out to be much more than me sitting there and not listening like I normally did. That night, I was so moved that, almost from the start of the service, tears were streaming from my eyes and I was hanging on every word. I really don't remember everything that was said but I just couldn't not listen. I heard a message of such love and caring that I couldn't stop crying with the emotion that it invoked in me. Here I was, a man thinking that I didn't need a God, that I was the only one I needed and, suddenly, I wanted nothing more than to feel the hand of God on my shoulder. Here I was, a man of the religion of witchcraft and magic, having spent nearly 20 years praying to a goddess even though my life has always been a series of downhill slides.

The people of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC, saved a devote Wicca and brought him into the arms of the Lord. My life was changed that night. Now, I go to church three days a week. I plan on not missing a service there for as long as I am here. I am even thinking of staying here in this town just so that I can keep going to this church.

Anyway, what I really want to tell you is that, even before I came home to God, I would listen to you whenever I got hold of your CDs. You were the only source of God that I would listen to for most of my life. I love the way you did Mary, Did You Know? and listen to it often.

Thank you for being the one that, if not directly, helped to lead me to God and finally get washed in the Blood of the Lamb.
Much love and thanks,
Thomas Conner
